* Dijon Limestone will often contain fissures , these are not cracks , they are naturally occurring phenomena , which are separations or openings within the stone , formed during its geological creation , NOT defects .

Fissures are typically long, narrow, and often filled with minerals, adding to the stone's unique character and whilst they may appear as cracks, fissures are distinct from cracks, which are breaks that occur after the stone is quarried or fabricated, and will rough to the touch , and often have stone dust emanating from them , fissures however are perfectly smooth .

Some natural stone paving units may contain a small iron content and when in contact with moisture can oxidise causing rust like marks to the surface of the paving ,this is a perfectly natural phenomenon however ,if deemed unsightly, there are proprietary brand cleaners on the market especially formulated for rust removal.
